Copper Table Lamps

I recently found this small pair of table lamps. I really liked the dovetailing....They are both connected to one plug. The copper base is approx. 7in tall and 5 1/2 in at the base. Signed SYRIA with an upside down S. I assume they are mid century, with an Arts and Crafts look. I have not had anything with the one plug. I am just a little confused by style. and age, being rather plain in design, and coming from Syria. Most things I have seen from that area seem to be more elaborate. With this type of wiring they were obviously meant to be rather close to each other, perhaps on nightstands. That is where I intend to use them after I figure out what type of shades to use...Thanks for taking a peek...
