Recently found this at a local tool auction. Antique Copper Soldering Iron???

I recently found this at a local auction. I purchased a large tool lot and this was with it. Not sure what it is. I am looking for help to identify what it was used for. The tool lot did include some vintage soldering irons. I am thinking that is what it may be. Handle is forged steel and the head appears to be copper. It has a marking on the head that states "6 Hungerford NY Hand Forged"
