Pottery art Noveau

I came across this beauty in a tag sale in Missouri about 8 years ago. It was packed in mud under a table but had a tag on it of $25.00. I liked what little I saw so I bought it and cleaned it up, I just love it!!. It measures 10 1/2 inches across the top and is 13 1/4 high. I can't get myself to plant anything in it because it's just to pretty and really not sure if that's what it's used for.
