    I think Spirit Bear told me the date refers to the teeth at the bottom of the insulator. This one is a bit slimmer and smaller than other examples I have seen. Do not see any model number on it.
    I also picked up a Star Insulator which is even smaller. Moved out most of the rocks. More improvements to come. May even clean the windows.

      The drip-points, or teeth, were patented on May 2nd, 1893. The most recent make of insulator with that patent date on it, as far as I know, was 1960s.

      Yours looks like a CD 121 (style collectors refer to it today as) toll insulator. Commonly embossed with A. T. & T., but not always. It would have been embossed with "No 16" had they put the style on it back when it was made.
      These were made from the 1890s to the 1920s.
      Yours is the earlier style.
