      Great looking knife. Love the tang marks: year of production, model name, company brand. Wish all knife makers did the same!!! [;>)

      I also have a 1960's dated British military issue Electricians knife, this has been sharpened to look like a regular cutting blade.
      Also a US Army Engineers pocket knife, This can be dated to 1940! I will post soon!

      I have one of these, and was looking around for any information about it. Can anyone tell me what these were used for?

      Hi James, these knives were used by the British army (they still are!) during WW2 for general purposes, eg. fighting, cutting, eating, screwdriver at tip, can opener.
      The Navy model included a splicing tool on the back, sometimes wrongly identified as a tool for removing stones from horses hooves! This tool is used on rope or wire hawsers, to join one piece to another.
