Domestic Machines Electric Sewing Machine Motor

An AC/DC motor for a sewing machine made by Domestic Machines. I think this was for converting a treadle to an electric machines. AC/DC motors were generally used around 1920. I believe New York City was DC until 1932. The patent on this is Patent Pending so I can't look up the patent date .
The cord on this is in poor condition but as I don't need an electric sewing machine motor I shall not be replacing it. Looks like it wil be another item for the curio table.
