i got this on ebay the other day - another Awaji piece from Japan. This is a large wall vase at 9.5 inches tall. it is signed Japan and has one of the Awaji marks impressed inside the vase - near the lip. The iris pattern is one of the most common Awaji patterns. this piece is very thick and heavy - not thin at all.
