My wife saw this vase few months back at an estate sale and had to have it. Forgot it the first day but went back and it was still there. It's about 13" tall and has a very strange glaze application, quite rough and random. The base is incised but very hard to read. I think it's marked "HCR 66" and I can't make out the other marks.
It has a place of prominence on our foyer table and we both love it!
Any idea who the maker might be or just a random studio piece? Antique of MCM?

Fantastic shape and what looks like an iron glaze.
