Bookbinders pliers.

This pliers can be described as a leather tool. It was used by a bookbinder to shape the leather around the raised bands on the spine of a book. At some time and for some unknown reason, someone brazed on an extension to each handle.
In its latest incarnation, I find this tool very handy as a folding pliers for tin work.
