Patented dates of July 1879-July 1885.
These nickel plated shears date between the late 1800's into the early 1900's.
The first two pictures are mine; The second two are from Google.

Lol .... I used to cut hair, so I have some of these too. I think about 4 of them. I never used them, just collected when I did work in a shop as a Barber-Stylist. Great Post !!
I have several of these from my Father. I remember how he used to use them. I've used them myself. Brings back fond memories of Dad.
