    These button like ornaments were made of ivory or wood sadly mine is wood. They were made to hang from a sash for good luck. Some found are up to 300 years old and originated from Japan. There now is a huge repro market but they are still quite ornate and collectable. Neil

      The repros are getting so good that they are ruining many segments of the collecting field.
