    I recently purchased this fine reel on eBay. The box and the reel shows made in USA. I did a Google search for this reel with no luck at all. If anyone can tell me anything about this reel, where it was manufactured and when I would very much appreciate it. I'm pretty sure the reel has been used but not very many times. It is almost in mint condition.

      Hi
      Sorry can't say much(it is rare) about this reel but i like your reels i also collect them and i have also cat like yours :). First i saw this i think my cat is travelled now in America.
      These maine coons(my is coctail) are like quicksilver they are bored very quick and disappears around. My cat is hired here in food job so its wanders round a lot here farm.
      I add some reels soon, check them out.

      This reel looks like an Airex Valliant vintage around 1959. Might have been made by Airex for Penguin, I think they were not a manufacturer.

      I meant to say a Horrocks Ibbotson, Valliant not Airex. Don't know why I mixed those up.
