    PICKED THIS LITTLE JEWEL UP THIS MORNING AT THE DAV. IT IS AN UNUSUAL PIECE TO ME. THE BASE IS 3" IN DIAMETER AND OVERALL IT IS 41/2 INCHES TALL. THE ONLY MARKING IS ON THE SOCKET AND IT LOOKS TO BE"SMI or IWS" THE PUSH BUTTON SWITCH IS PLASTIC AND AS SHOWN ALL WORKS. NO IDEA AS TO AGE. JUST LIKED IT WHEN I SAW IT.

      I can't put my finger (mind?) on exactly why, but its socket and switch strike me as something European...??

      Could be european. The top of the socket is a ceramic ring.
