Studio Pottery Vase - Possibly Greek?

Acquired this studio pottery vase at a local (Washington, DC area) estate sale. It appears the family travelled widely as the estate includes items from around the world. The pot is extensively marked on the bottom (as shown in the photo) but I am unable to transcribe entirely. The top line reminds me of Greek writing but that's purely speculative and not based on expertise. Any assistance with transcription would be much appreciated. Thanks!
