Appears to be a fraternal sword.
Which is to say not quite junk but not valuable.
Fraternal sword with limited collector/ monetary value.

If it came from your grandfather, put it back in the closet and wait. One day you might just find out that it is significant to your family history. That is, if it will fit in your closet.
