This little pair of brass vases are engraved with an elaborate repeating pattern accented by areas filled in with red and black. They are 7" tall and 3-1/2" across at the top.
That's all I know about them, besides that I like them...?? ;-) :-) I could easily guess that they're imported from somewhere, perhaps Middle-Eastern since the pattern doesn't really look Asian to me, but what do I know?? (next to nothing...) They also don't seem 'modern' to my eye, their patina is too natural and uniform, plus they both look like they've been used with water inside in the past. There are no stamps or markings to indicate maker or origin.
Does anybody else have any clues or guesses?? The category system here doesn't give me an option beyond "Asian Vases", so I'm using that anyway...?
