Come across this nickle digging for bottles and was wonding what could have caused it to smooth on one side and not the other. Not even sure of the date.

Since it's one side only...it looks like someone ground it down. If both sides, I'd say washing machine..
That's what I figured but had to check anyways. You've been a great help. ????
