We are avid Creek walkers looking for fossils. I'm not sure exactly where we dug this up but it was found on our way home from Florida on one of the twenty stops we made getting lost on back woods roads. We were young and it was a different world 25 years ago. Anyway I've read what others have researched and this is defenetely NOT a replica and my T is defenetely a T and not an R.... We were probably somewhere in Arkansas Louisiana or Mississippi where I found this in a Wet weather Creek looking for fossils!

Welcome to CW. I believe the original coin was 93% silver. Your coin does not look silver in the pictures. Have you stuck a magnet to it?

This is a highly faked coin due to value of originals. If you think it's real, you should have it professionally graded. Real coins can bring up to a million dollars...

The lettering "LIBERTY" on the Statue of Liberty shield on the original coin is deeply etched.
