This item once held down the papers in a Reading Railways notepad. It is 12.7Cm in length, and is made of a non-magnetic metal, that appears to be with a gold toned finish.
I've been advised that it can be dated from 1955.
A great example of old time advertising, this promo now rests, without the notepad, in my collection of such things.
