Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely cake plate that I think will be Art Deco , just noticed it’s now got a mark on the edge of one side I think it was boxed badly as don’t remember any damage before.
haven,t looked mark is a flat crown , square gate opening , flat barring between the towers, the triangle on the bottom of the mark,no embossing but stamped must be peri-bellum someting like give or take 1936-1945
obverse depend if you are a romantic , see the shoulder of milady the winter in the three musketeers movie , it a mishapen FLEUR DE LYS
for the more belligernt among us , the call it barb wire design AS far as i know it is mainly used in chinese QIANLONG PERIOD ( an inner design circkel shape)
is it art deco probably yes see dating, actually its a very pleasent combination for a fantasy design, so well done
