I bought this old doll for 50 cents last year at a yard sale and am curious about it On the back of the neck there is a DEE CEE and on the back just above the buttocks is Dee and Cee the eyes open when you pick it up and it is 18 inches tall Soome of the eyelashes are missing and I think it is a drinker doll because there is a hole in the mouth and also in the behind I just tried it and it does drink and wet

These baby dolls were probably from the 50's-early 60's. I would say more from the 50's. The Dee Cee doll company from from Canada! How big is she? I love the spread toes.

This is one of the more common of the D&C dolls. He is a charmer and the ladies love to dress him up in baby clothes. I would guess late 50's early 60's. D&C was a Canadian company from 1938 to 1964 and sold to Mattel in 1962 and faded away in two years after the sale. Chatty Cathy's with the D&C mark always do well because they were made during that transition, later ones were all Mattel

I guess some would argue about the sex of the doll, but he reminds me of Johnny Playpal and a Bobby doll I remember.
