    I just started finding stuff like this years ago.....anyone know anything about it? I know it appears as Aluminum that is hammered but has no defining marks.

      I can't tell you for sure since there are no markings but I know my mother had quite a collection of these hammered aluminum pieces. She loved them and always told me she started collecting them in the early 40's. A lot of aunts had similar pieces that were bought about the same time. Maybe this will help you get started on this particular piece.
