I bought this piece at a sale in Fl. It is 6 1\2 and 6 1\2 across the top. No markings on it. There are no scraches or chips, in very good condition.

these are not real old -- commonly still sold in the rossi stores and tj max stores -- i love their design and have one in yellow and one in purple -- they call them spider vases

I'm just a sucker for glass & it looks silver from photo or could be almost any metal. It would have to be a fruit bowl. Either way I do love it. Have a great day
