this is a sterling silver cigarette case do not know history but would like to find out it also has painting inside

The decoration has many aspects of the "Blue Willow" pattern on Japanese and some English pottery/porcelain. The scene is of Mt. Fuji in the background, a pagoda and the bridge. I don't see the couple running away from their father but decoration definitely Japanese. I don't read Japanese but someone might be able to tell you what the wording is on the corner of the case.
