Found this unusual 10" fan shaped vase at GW this morning. It's made from a coarse clay similar to stone ware. The glaze is a matte forest green but seems to have speckles of black in it as well. The body has two horizontal ribs running through the middle. It is marked with what appears to be an "M" stamped into the bottom edge. Looks like a good piece but I'm not familiar with the mark. Studio art pottery has a lot of mysterious marks that you could devote a book to and they have ! -Mike-
