I inherited this stein, but do not know the history. It is in like new condition. It is 16"H and 16" around the base. The detail can be seen in the photos. I submitted photos, and the bottom of the stein engraved "Made in Germany. ". There is a triangle engraved and a gold-colored 8.

GERZIT , it is.
From my memory (that which it may be), things marked "Made In Germany" were export items before WWII but not saying that it is not being used now. I'm no expert.
