    JUST RECEIVED THIS WONDERFUL LITTLE GUBELIN LUCERN ASIAN STYLE JADE CLOCK,THE CLOCK IS UNUSUALLY HEAVY,I BELIEVE THERE IS TWO KINDS OF JADE GREEN AND PURPLE.LOOKS TO BE FROM EARLY 1900's .I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HISTORY INFORMATION.SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DESIGN,IT IS A SHAME THINGS OF TODAY ARE NOT MADE WITH SUCH ATTENTION TO DETAIL.THANK YOU FOR ANY FEEDBACK.PAUL

      Gubelin was a renown jeweler an clock retailer since 1854, they have a gemmology lab for certificates!
      This deskclock is rather art deco (1920/1930) mounted with an old chinese sculpture (jade?) ; other green parts are rather green onyx, for the purple parts, difficult to say.
      Beautiful piece!!!

      Details & how things are made today are a completely different quality compared to how it use to be. As they say times are a changing, not all for the better either.
