This is 5 1/4 inches long by 2 inches across and 1 inch high although the other side is about 1/4 inch higher.
I was looking for a stamp and i rubbed the inside and now I can see a copper colour underneath.
I would really like to find out what age it is or if it is actually something fairly new from India...
I bought it along with some other small ashtrays at an auction.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure this is an ashtray? It's very pretty.
We are thinking it may be an ashtray out of an antique car...but that is just a guess! Not sure if it is missing a lid...
