I purchased this doll at a rummage sale and would like to know more about it. No markings that I can find. Please help. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

She is a reproduction of what is called a "low brow "china doll . Made in a doll making class or ceramic class . They supplied a blank mold and you painted it and made body . Common to do from 1970's-90's when China dolls were selling at peak highs so you could make one for very little . This China head is the most common found China doll in the antique china's made for a very long time period . Yours in not a antique doll . She could be used as a decor piece however .

You need to study the painting on antique dolls by looking at many also the china dolls were made of a high quality bisque that was glazed un like the porcelain they use today . A Big clue also is Antique china's never had crazing on surface and many repro's do . It is all in the painting . I would suggest you go to a museum and look at antique china dolls . I have one I will show you the paining on face you will see difference clearly .
