Meditation calendar art, but by who?

I found this at a flea market many years ago.
it was framed as seen here.
years later I spotted it in a magazine, where it was described as an image titled, "Meditation" and was part of a calendar from around the turn of the last century.
I have tried to figure out who the painter was, to no avail.
it is my aim to eventually find another copy, if possible.
the name of the artist might make my search easier.
