A friend gave me a few items before he passed away. One of them is this beautiful backgammon game. He never told me anything about it and I'm trying to find any information I can. I don't think it's old, it seems brand new without a scratch. Any history, country of origin, brand etc. would be appreciated.

Looks Russian like lacquerware to me. You can also play checkers on it.
