I'm wondering if any one can enlighten me about this pendant. It belonged to my mother and I have a feeling that it was a 21st present to her - which would make it given to her in 1955. It may however have been well before that, and it may have belonged to her father.
She lived in New Zealand and I'm assuming then that it is NZ greenstone - pounamu. I'm also fairly certain that it will be sterling silver.
I'd love any information that anyone might have on this pendant, it's possible date and place of manufacture etc.

The rest of the world knows pounamu as Nephrite jade. The design chased on silver does not look European or American to me, so may be a local NZ piece? Do you know what it depicts?
Sadly, no, I really don't know anything about it. Thank you very much for taking the time to comment though, I really appreciate it.
