Sad Little Oriental Design Trinket Box Thrift Shop Find $2.50

Well, this box has been around the block a few times. Looks to be made out of a type of clay. The figures on the lid had faces, once upon a time. One still has a bit of face left. The box measures 3 1/2"x 2 1/2". I attempted several times to look up the "FCW 491" mark and was directed toward silver marks. Wrong. I also tried "FGW 491" and got bupkus.
This little box does have a use for me, so I will put it in my workroom to hold all the loose stones which are used for repair.

If anybody has a clue about my beat up trinket box, I'd love to hear from you.
