Help Identify This Mickey Mouse and Pluto Journal?

At a recent estate sale I came across this item, a journal with what seams to be a tooled leather cover and textured leather (or reptile skin?) back, Mickey and Pluto images slightly raised and painted on the cover. Inside the owner has drawn sketches and written or copied poems onto the pages, which are very thin paper and bound by the ribbon tie. Everything she has written is in Spanish, which I haven't had translated. It is worn, as you can see and judging by the artwork probably dates back to at least the 1960s, if not earlier.

Any help in identifying the item will be appreciated!
