    The plates have a copper cover that has been an indicator that they are pre 1900. I don't know anything about these items... it seems like I might've found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

      My first question is could they be valuable?im not looking for number...I just have no idea.
      And the second question is this...I read something about tin plates...what in the world or the smooth plates used for?
