Black Overlay Eagle on Rock Snuff Bottle

The eagle on a rock rebus means "solitary hero." The eagle is a pun for "hero" and it stands on one leg on the rock, representing the independent spirit of the hero.

I think it stands next to the fungus of immortality.

There are two things I really like about this bottle. The first is it really seems majestic. The second is that the black overlay seems to be rare and hard to find.

It has a lovely tourmaline top.
