Tudor Oyster watch by Rolex 1957-58

I've found this in a job lot of vintage items I've purchased, I've taken it to the watch shop to see if it's a genuine and it apparently is!
It's a genuine Tudor Oyster watch by Rolex 1957-58
I have searched and searched the internet but can not find anything on or about it, is it man's woman's ect I want to restore it as it has this ugly elasticated metal strap but have no clue what kind of strap it should have.... I am totally lost, if anyone recognises or could point me in the direction of where to look I would be great full thank you
