Early 20th century base metal charms/fobs

These charms are very close or identical to charms on a bracelet that my grandfather assembled from charms given as lagniappe with purchases made in the early 20th century, probably before 1925. I have seen only a small amount of documentation on these mechanical charms, with their delightful detail.
