pair of heavy brass candlesticks

These are a recent Goodwill find, which responded rather well to a little hand work with a can of Brasso. :-) They appealed to me for the hex shaped motif details at their tops and bases, and because they are solid brass thus kinda delightfully *heavy* (2.5lbs ea.) for their size, 9-1/2" tall and 3" across. No marks of any kind on them, I don't guess they're anything much more than 10-20yrs old (??) and I have absolutely no idea whatsoever who might have made them, or where.

Professor Plum most definitely could have offed (or at least severely injured?) Miss Scarlet in the Library, ifn's he'd have clocked her with one of these things?? <LOL>
