Loetz PG 2409 on PN II-2409 shade

I finally found a great shade for my art nouveau Saglier Freres silver lamp! A Loetz PG 2409 on PN II-2409 ca. 1905. It has 10 ruffles and 5 leaves in moosgrun and silber on an elfenbein base. It is 5- 1/8" tall.

The total effect is of a flower and its green sepals. It mirrors the tulip flower on the lamp base. The coloring is subtle and glowing!
I refitted the 100 year-old lamp to US standards, added the key switch and cloth wire to keep it age appropriate!

This shade was listed for sale as a "Quezal or Steuben" by an experienced seller who appeared to be stumped by the decor. I noted that the the threads of the leaf are pulled in a different manner than any example I can find of those of either company. Usually the threads are pulled from the very top of the fitter or they are not pulled at all in a festoon type design. This shade shows the threads are pulled from partially down the body of the shade. I also noted that Warren's recent listing has the same pull pattern. For whatever that's worth...probably 2 cents :)

Regardless, it's an awesome shade!
