    Looking for information on this trinket box. Im new to asian antiques. Not sure where to even start my research but found this box to be absolutely beautiful and a great addition to my still small collection.

      i can only talk bs here, you put the mark sideways but leave it this way , the mark is so extremely poor and heavily stylized , the right symbol ( the fishhook) ought to be qianlong , but probably in combination with the left undermark is quangxu

      its an armorial with with an french lilac border ( see photo 3)eween he borders and an kind of spurious rhinocerus( maybe) horn

      so probably the intention is that ,we believe this is a qianlong armorial.no way , the rose design is spurious , tte best case scenario is late republic period i think or even later
