I found this interesting table that opens into a desk with a hidden drawer. Does anyone know if it is an antique, what it is called or know any history ?

Could it be a fancy version of a telephone table?
Cool how it swings apart and you fold the leaf down.
Telephone table, probably made more recently in Thailand where they make so many reproductions.

I have no idea of age or origin, but I do know that I absolutely love it. What a great design.....
