Continuing the blue theme this is a sweetie jar made from high grade glass with faceted sides and smooth base it has a couple of chips in the stopper due to my grandmother trying to release the lid which is ground and stuck solid although the few sweeties that remain do not look like they were worth recovering. We had another which was twice the height but it unfortunately was broken some years ago.
This one has resisted all the periodic attempts to open it with heat oil and many other release agents but it displays well as the colour is superb
It stands 6" tall x 5" diameter and has 12 sides

Anyone have any suggestions on getting the lid out?

Most of those have been tried unsuccessfully unfortunately.
I am researching natural release agents at present but nothing has moved it in many years
