I picked this up at a garage sale. I had no idea what it was but it was only three dollars so I couldn’t leave it there. Now I am trying to find out what I bought.

Looks like an old fence wire tensioner. $3 is about right.
First off, "Welcome to CW". What You have is a very old "Snow Fence Slat Replacement Tool". We have seen your tool before on CW, and we were also stumped, so don't feel lonely. If you do a search on CW, You will see the discussion we had. If you cannot find it, i will find it for you.

Thanks much for the identification. I searched for the discussion but could not find it. A little more help would be appreciated.
No problem, Got to the top of this page, where it says Post an Item or search all show and tell. Type in "Mystery Tool", and hit Enter. When the page opens, you go down a few items till you see a lookalike tool on the left that was posted 3 years ago. Click on it, and go all the way down to comment #15, then open that link up for more info.
