    I found this lotus bowl today. It's about 5 inches wide and in great condition. I think that this is what is referred to as champlevé, but i'm not positive. It's definitely enamel and heavier than it looks like. I think that this is Chinese, although not marked.

      Champlevé means “raised field.” Champlevé is an enamel process where the surface to be enameled is carved, engraved, stamped or etched with a design prior to enameling. The powdered enamel is fired into the design highlighting it.?

      i guess it's another kind of Canton enamel.
