Hello everyone!!
One of the most recent doorstops I've acquired is this vintage cast iron hare. I really love the detail of the fur and, especially, the ears and those shiny black eyes. This one is from the 1960's or early 1970's and is a two piece design held together with a single bolt. I'm not sure who the foundry is that cast this fellow, but it's quite a nice casting. There are so many reproductions of this fellow on the market today, but all of those are welded together and not colored as nicely as this fellow. It measures 8 1/2" tall, 4" wide and weighs 4lbs 4oz!

Oh he's a gorgeous hare, and yes the detail on the fur is excellent. He'll be hopping down the bunny trail very soon...
