"Saltair Resort" Postcard 1947 "Carnival of Souls" and "Arsenic Annie" 0r "Saltshaker Killer" Connection

I just purchased this postcard because I love that eerie old movie called "Carnival of Souls" (especially the colorized version) part of which was filmed at the old "Saltair Resort" in Utah. But, of course, I had to research the person who it was sent to in 1947. The card was sent to Mrs. Alvena Frobe by her son and daughter-in-law from a vacation in Utah at the "Saltair Resort." Little did I know that I would uncover another interesting story about a character called "Arsenic Annie."
This postcard was sent from Saltair Resort in 1947 to Alvena Frobe, who was a "City Hall Matron" in Cincinnati, Ohio at one time. Her most-famous prisoner was Anna Marie Hahn, better known as "Arsenic Annie" or the "Saltshaker Killer." Apparently, she carried a saltshaker full of arsenic that she used on her victims.

Anna Marie Hahn (née Filser; July 7, 1906 – December 7, 1938) was a German-born American serial killer. She murdered 5 elderly men from Cincinnati by poison between 1933 and 1937. She was convicted of murder and executed by electric chair in 1938.

According to the attached article, a young detective kept going back to interview Mrs. Frobe because he was convinced that there was at least one dead husband who hadn't been found. He wanted to know everything that "Arsenic Annie" had mentioned to Mrs. Frobe, in hopes of uncovering another murder.

Perhaps "Arsenic Annie" should have taken a vacation to Saltair to fill her infamous saltshaker with the salty sand instead of that bitter arsenic. But "Saltair Annie" just doesn't have quite the same ring.
