A Charming Early 20th Century Oil on Canvas Portrait of a Rough-Coated Terrier / Jack Russell Dog Inscribed “Punch” Above the Subject Dated 1927 Lower Right. Signed Lower Left E. Cotterill
From Bury St. Edmonds, England. I had to fight hard for this latest adoption! It belonged to the seller's great-grandmother, Vera, who was a collector of anything to do with dogs and described as "quite fanatical."
"Vera" happens to be my grandmother's name, so I think it was meant to be. He has joined my other "adoptees" on the dog gallery wall.
I tried to find out more about the artist, but I could only find a previous artist named Edmond Cotterill. If anyone knows who this artist is, please let me know.
