Thank you very much FineLines, Thank goodness my father had a snow blower, however, I remember when we did not have one. Guess who got to shovel the snow? I think I got paid $2.00.
I lived in a small town in NH till I was about eleven. I never really felt to bad about not being able to ride my new bicycle though.... because right beside it under the tree was usually a new sled!

yes, yes, or new ice skates. We would go to a frozen swamp near my house, clear the ice with shovels and play hockey all day.
Today I would not last 10 minutes!!! Living in south Texas has spoiled me.
