JADE OR AMETHYST FOO DOG'S

I just got these two jade or Amethyst Foo Dog's today the pictures do them no justice One has a small chunk missing you can see in the picture who ever had them painted the eyes mouth I think with nail polish what can I get it off with that will not damage them they are 6"H and approximately 2Lb 4oz Can anyone tell me how I can find out a value on them. Not going to part with them there kind of cool looking. Thank you for any help you can give
